Analysis: Belvidere pays $3.71 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Belvidere Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.2 percent of the $1,455,659 the Belvidere Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.71 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Belvidere contributed $1,152,636 to the fund, which saw a $1,383 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $310,449, or 21.3 percent, in 2018.
