ORDINANCE REPORT BY TRUSTEE: Nancy Belt.

1. Motion that the Village Board waive the rules and consider this the second and final reading of an “Ordinance of the Village of Cherry Valley, Illinois Appointing Roy H. Bethge as Chief of Police and Approving an Employment Agreement”.

2. Motion that the Village Board pass and approve Ordinance # 2020-30; “Ordinance of the Village of Cherry Valley, Illinois Appointing Roy H. Bethge as Chief of Police and Approving an Employment Agreement”.

FINANCE REPORT BY TRUSTEE: Jeff O’hara.

1. Motion that the Village Board authorize Nyhart Auditing to conduct a thirty-five- year actuarial projection in regards to the village’s Article III Police Pension Fund at a cost of $3,500.00 from line item 5170P.

2. Motion that the Village Board pass and approve Resolution 2020-17; A Resolution of the Village of Cherry Valley, Illinois Authorizing the Village President to Enter into and Execute an Agreement with Nyhart Consulting, LLC for the Provision of Actuarial Services.

PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT BY TRUSTEE: Jeff Fustin.

1. Motion that the Village Board approve the beginning of a background investigation to fill the vacancy of patrol officer to bring us up to our authorized staffing of (13) sworn personnel.

2. Motion that the Village Board approve the purchase of a 2017 Ford Explorer (with a four-year extended warranty) to replace Squad 8 at a cost of $24,000.00 (including trade-in) from Manley Ford, Belvidere, IL from line item 5420 Capital Improvements. (This would reassign Squad 7, currently used by the Chief to a patrol vehicle).

3. Motion that the Village Board approve the purchase of a 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Explorer to replace Squad 8 at a cost of $28,746.96 (including a trade- in of $6,400.00) from Pundhamm Ford, St. Charles, MO from line item 5420 Capital Improvements.

PUBLIC WORKS REPORT BY TRUSTEE: Jim Alsbury.

1. Motion that the Village Board approve a (60) month copier lease agreement with Xerox Corporation for the Public Works Building at a cost of $118.06 per month from line item 5170 Public Works.

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REPORT BY TRUSTEE: David Schroeder.

PERSONNEL REPORT BY TRUSTEE: Sally Hollembeak.

1. Motion that the Village Board approve the Employees Cost for Health Plans and Dental for the 2020-2021 enrollment period.

2. Motion that the Village Board approve the appointment of Mr. Roy H. Bethge as Chief of Police for the Village of Cherry Valley, with a salary of $104,000.00 with an effective starting date of November 2, 2020.
