On Friday, March 13, at 4 p.m., Davenport Panthers pitcher and former Harlem High School standout Alaina Schwanke took the field in their NCAA Division II softball matchup. The Panthers fell 13-5 to the Cedarville Yellow Jackets.
Lady Jacket Field hosted the game, marking the teams’ second meeting this season. Earlier on March 13, Davenport was also defeated by Cedarville, 13-5.
Schwanke pitched one inning, allowing two earned runs and striking out one batter.
The Panthers are set to play their next game at Anderson Field against the Findlay Oilers on Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m.
