City of Carlyle Finance Committee met Feb. 9.

Call to Order/Roll Call

The Finance Committee meeting was called to order by Finance Committee Chairman Jim McClaren at 6:47 p.m. at the Case Halstead Library, 550 6th Street, Carlyle, Illinois.

Present were Aldermen Jim McClaren, Jeff Taylor, Tammy Peters, Mike Jansen, Jeremy Weh, Bailey Ellis. Also present were Mayor Judy Smith, City Administrator Brad Myers, and City Clerk Rita Jurgensmeyer.

Approval of Minutes – January 26, 2026

Alderman Jeff Taylor made a motion to approve the minutes from January 26, 2026. The motion was seconded by Alderman Tammy Peters and was approved by voice vote.

Approval of Claims

Alderman Tammy Peters made a motion to approve the claims against the city. Alderman Jeff Taylor seconded the motion, and it was approved by voice vote.

At 6:47 p.m. Alderman Tammy Peters made a motion to go into executive session to 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(21) Discussion of minutes of meetings lawfully closed under this Act, whether for purposes of approval by the body of the minutes or semi-annual review of the minutes as mandated by Section 2.06. Alderman Jeff Taylor seconded the motion, and it was approved by voice vote.

Vote on Executive Session Item(s) – Approve/Open Executive Session Minutes

At 6:54 the committee returned to regular session.

Alderman Jeff Taylor made a motion to approve the executive session minutes from August 11, 2025, and August 25, 2025. Alderman Tammy Peters seconded the motion, and it was approved by voice vote.

Alderman Jeff Taylor made a motion to open the minutes from August 11, 2025, and to leave all the rest of the minutes closed. Alderman Tammy Peters seconded the motion, and it was approved by voice vote.
