City of Carlyle Finance Committee met Sept. 8.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Call to Order

The meeting was called to order by John Hodapp on Monday, September 8, 2025, at 6:45 p.m. Committee members present included John Hodapp and Jeff Taylor. Chairman Jeremy Weh was absent. Others present included Police Chief Mark Pingsterhaus, Tammy Peters, Bruce Hilmes, Mike Jansen, Scott Diekemper, Rita Jurgensmeyer, Brad Myres, and Martha Reinkensmeyer.

Approval of Minutes

After reviewing the minutes from the August 25, 2025, meeting, Jeff Taylor made a motion to approve the minutes. John Hodapp seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor. 

Approval of Claims

After reviewing the claims, Jeff Taylor made a motion to approve the minutes. John Hodapp seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor. 

King Kat Catfish/Kids’ Event Fishing Series Contract

Brad stated that AMW Promotions is asking the city to contribute $3,750.00 to be used for advertising for the fishing tournament. Clinton County will also be contributing $3,750.00. John Hodapp made a motion to recommend the King Kat Catfish/Kids’ Event Fishing Series contract to council. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor. 

Crappie Fishing Series Contract

Brad stated that AMW Promotions is also asking the city to contribute $3,750.00 for the Crappie Fishing Series. The county will be contributing $3,750.00, as well. John Hodapp made a motion to recommend the Crappie Fishing Series contract to council. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

There was no new business.

There were no any other comments.

There were no public comments. 

Executive Session

The committee did not enter executive session. 

Adjournment

With no further business to discuss, John Hodapp made a motion to adjourn. Jeff Taylor seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the meeting adjourned at 6:51 pm.
