City of Loves Park City Council met Dec. 1.

Mayor Gregory R. Jury called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Alderman Dan Jacobson opened the meeting with an invocation, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Young At Heart Queen Isabella Cabrera, Junior Princess Piper Crone, and Mini Princess Tessa Bane.

1. APPROVAL OF CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
The Journal of Proceedings for the regular meeting of November 17, 2025, was approved as submitted by the City Clerk on a motion by Alderman Schlensker. Second by Alderman Allton. 3. DON DANIELS/OVERLAY REVIEW BOARD
Mayor Jury announced that Don Daniels is now a member of the Overlay Review Board.
4. NEW HIRES
Mayor Jury announced that the Water Department new hires are Chad Jones, effective December 1, 2025 and Taylor Longphee, effective December 8, 2025.
5. RASCALS CHRISTMAS FOR KIDS FUNDRAISER
Mayor Jury announced that Rascals Bar & Grill will be hosting the Christmas for Kids fundraiser on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.
6. VFW MEAT RAFFLE
Mayor Jury announced that he is hosting a meat raffle at the Loves Park VFW on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
7. CITY CHRISTMAS PARTY
Mayor Jury announced that the employee Christmas Party will be held at Park Lanes on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.

Alderman Peterson presented the General Fund and all other bills dated December 1, 2025, in the amount of $786,440.92. Motion to approve by Alderman Pruitt. Second by Alderman Dan Jacobson. Alderman Pruitt presented the Water Department bills dated December 1, 2025, in the amount of $686,725.36, and moved that they be paid. Second by Alderman Dan Jacobson.
