The Illinois Department of Revenue will conduct a State-wide Board of Review Exam on May 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The exam will take place at the Lake County Central Permit Facility, Room 2220, located at 500 W. Winchester Rd, Libertyville, IL.
Individuals interested in taking the exam are required to register by contacting Cindy Crawford via email and requesting an application. The Department has stated, “If no applicants have registered to take the exam by 10:00 AM of the day prior to the scheduled examination, the Department reserves the right to cancel the exam.”
Study materials for the exam are available on the Illinois Department of Revenue’s website at https://tax.illinois.gov/localgovernments/property/education-program.html. Applicants must bring their own calculators (cell phones are not permitted) and writing instruments.
