Assistant Minority Leader and State Representative John M. Cabello will partner with the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office to host a Mobile DMV event on Monday, March 2. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Durand Solutions Bank, located at 1005 Cameron Drive in Durand.

At the Mobile DMV, residents can apply for a REAL ID, renew or correct a driver’s license or State ID, and renew vehicle stickers. Registration is required for those seeking services. Area residents are encouraged to sign up for an appointment online.

“This event offers residents an opportunity to receive DMV services at a convenient location without having to travel further to a permanent DMV facility,” Representative Cabello said. “I am pleased to partner with the Secretary of State’s office to ensure DMV services are accessible to everyone in the rural Winnebago and Stephenson County area.”

Driver’s tests will not be available during this event. Seniors aged 78 and older must visit a standard DMV facility for license renewal. Accepted forms of payment include personal check, credit card, debit card, or money order; cash payments will not be accepted. Proper identification is required for all services, with information on acceptable forms of ID available on the Secretary of State’s website.

In addition to DMV services, staff from Representative Cabello’s office will assist constituents with questions about legislation, state resources, or other interactions with Illinois state agencies or programs.

For more information about the event or assistance, residents can contact Representative Cabello’s office at (815) 974-0090.

John M. Cabello was elected as a Republican representative in 2023 for Illinois’ 90th House District after replacing Tom Demmer as state representative. The district includes communities in Winnebago, Stephenson, and Boone counties such as Rockford, Machesney Park, Freeport, Roscoe, Loves Park, Rockton, South Beloit, Caledonia, Durand, Rock City, and Rockton.
