Winnebago County issued the following announcement on July 29.
Winnebago County State’s Attorney Marilyn Hite Ross joins other Rockford area leaders to read to kids as part of the Fight Crime: Invest in Kids initiative. The organization is made up of around 300 police chiefs, sheriffs and state’s attorneys from all across Illinois. The organization pushes for funding for programs that help get kids into education at early ages.
