SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Oct. 18.
SwedishAmerican is pleased to welcome family physician Dr. Harneet Gahley to the Creekside Medical Center (3505 N. Bell School Road, Rockford).
A native of Lombard, Dr. Gahley received her medical degrees from Purdue University and American University of Antigua. She completed her fellowship with the SwedishAmerican Palliative Care Unit earlier this year.
“I’m caring for babies all the way to geriatrics in the same families, which is important because when you’re taking care of someone, you need to understand family history and all the different factors in their lives,” Dr. Gahley said. “I feel like I can treat patients and help them through their entire journey because of it.
“I treat all my patients like they’re my family, and I believe in having open conversations. It’s important to let my patients have a voice and a choice regarding their healthcare.”
