Village of Rockton Board of Fire & Police Commissioners met Oct. 16.

Pursuant to a posted Notice and Agenda, a special meeting of The Village of Rockton Board of Fire and Police Commissioners convened at 5:30 p.m. on October 16,2O24 in the Rockton Municipal Center, 110 East Main Street, Rockton, lllinois. The meeting was called to order at 5:28 p.m. by Chairman Stewart.

RoLL CALL AND ATTENoANGE

Chairman Stewart, Commissioner Connors and Commissioner Nicosia were present and responded for roll call. Police Chief Hollinger and Attomey Charles Kostantacos were also in attendance.

MINUTES

The Minutes of the September 10, 2024 regular meeting had been distributed to the Commissioners prior to the meeting. The Minutes were reviewed and discussed. Chairman Stewart moved to approve the Minutes as drafted. Commissioner Nicosia seconded the motion and it passed by unanimous roll call vote.

Commissioner Connors reported nothing was in the Commission mailbox and the Commission had received no email.

Scheduled oral interview of Police applicants – See Closed Session NEw BU$NEss

Commissioner Nicosia moved to adjoum to closed session pursuant to the Open Meetings Act 5 ILCS/12012(c)(1) for the puposes of conducting oral interviews of current Police Officer applicants at 5:30 pm. Commissioner Connors seconded the motion and it passed by unanimous roll call vote.

Chairman Stewart moved to reconvene into the open meeting at 6:01 pm. Commissioner Nicosia seconded the motion and it passed by unanimous roll call vote.

Commissioner Connors moved to adjoum to closed session pursuant to the Open Meetings Act 5 ILCS/ 1 2012(c)(1) for the purposes of conducting oral interviews of current Police Officer applicants at 6:21 pm. Commissioner Nicosia seconded the motion and it passed by unanimous roll call vote.

Commissioner Nicosia moved to reconvene into the open meeting at7:46 pm. Commissioner Connors seconded the motion and it passed by unanimous roll call vote.

OTHER CoMMISSIoN BUSINESS oR DISCUSSIoN

There was a brief discussion on Fire and Police Commission administrative matters.

ADJoURNMENT

Chairman Stewart moved to adjourn the meeting al 7′.47 p.m. Commissioner Connors seconded the motion and it passed by unanimous vote.
