Village of Rockton Board of Trustees met May 6.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Mayor Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:11 pm.

Present were: Mayor Peterson, Mr. Winters, Mr. Baumgartner and Atty. Szeto

Staff present: Dan Barber, Sally Bennett, Tricia Diduch, Chief Hollinger and Connie Kieffer

The Village Clerk was sworn in by Deputy Clerk Jessica Carter. The Village Clerk swore in Mayor Peterson and Village Trustees Dave Bennington, Jamin Unger and Sarah Doerflinger.

AMENDMENTS TO THE AGENDA

None.

PUBLIC COMMENT

None.

MAYOR PETERSON

Motion by Mrs. Doerflinger to approve the appointment of Justin York as Village Trustee (to fill the vacancy of Ms. May), second by Mr. Winters. Roll call. All ayes. Motion approved 5-0. The Village Clerk swore in Justin York as Village Trustee.

Mayor Peterson assigned the Village Trustees to the following committees:

Mr. York – Administration / Administration Committee Chairman/ Budget & Finance Committee member Mr. Baumgartner- Buildings and Parks/ Public Works Committee Chairman/ Budget & Finance Committee member

Mr. Winters – Public Safety & Legal/ Administration Committee member/ Budget & Finance Committee Chairman

Mrs. Doerflinger- Community Development/ Administration Committee member

Mr. Unger – Water, Sewer, and Garbage/ Public Works Committee member

Mr. Bennington – Streets and Walks/ Public Works Committee member

Motion by Mr. Winters to approve the appointment of Matt Hollinger as Police Chief, second by Mr. York. Roll call. All ayes. Motion approved 6-0.

Motion by Mr. Winters to approve the appointment of Sosnowski Szeto as the Village Attorney, second by Mr. York. Roll call. All ayes. Motion approved 6-0.

Motion by Mr. Winters to approve the appointment of Sally Bennett as Village Treasurer, second by Mr. Baumgartner. Roll call. All ayes. Motion approved 6-0.

Motion by Mr. Winters to approve the appointment of C.E.S. as the Village Engineer, second by Mr. Unger. Roll call. All ayes. Motion approved 6-0.
