II. COMMITTEE REPORTS

1. Committee recommends sustaining the Traffic Commission's approval for

establishing a parking restriction of “No Parking Any Time” on one side of 28th Street from Harney Court north to the end of the road. Ald. Beach expressed his concerns about Item No. 4, Jordan Place and Larson Avenue. There was no discussion on the other items.

2. Committee recommends sustaining the Traffic Commission's approval for establishing a parking restriction of “No Parking Any Time Except for Paratransit” on the north side of Chestnut Street from 140’ west of Foster Avenue to 160’ west of Foster Avenue.

Ald. Beach expressed his concerns about Item No. 4, Jordan Place and Larson Avenue. There was no discussion on the other items.

3. Committee recommends sustaining the Traffic Commission's approval for establishing a parking restriction of “No Parking Any Time” on the east side of Leslie Avenue from Ashland Avenue to Fairview Avenue.

Ald. Beach expressed his concerns about Item No. 4, Jordan Place and Larson Avenue. There was no discussion on the other items.

4. Committee recommends sustaining the Traffic Commission's approval for

establishing traffic control at the intersection of Jordan Place and Larson Avenue, thus repealing the traffic control of Jordan Place yielding for Larson Avenue. Ald. Beach expressed his concerns with the recommendation of the Traffic Commission for at the intersection of Jordan Place and Larson Avenue. He noted that there have been several car accidents at this intersection.

Ald. Beach made a MOTION to REVERSE the Traffic Commission's recommendation. He made a MOTION to AMEND the recommendation from a two-way stop to a four-way stop at the intersection of Jordan Place and Larson Avenue. The motion was SECONDED by Ald. Thompson-Kelly, and CARRIED by a vote of 4-1. Ald. Newburg voted "No."

5. Committee recommends sustaining the Traffic Commission's approval for

establishing a parking restriction of “No Parking Any Time” on the east side of Schalck Drive from Halsted Road to 105’ north of Halsted Road.

Ald. Beach expressed his concerns about Item No. 4, Jordan Place and Larson Avenue. There was no discussion on the other items.

6. Committee recommends sustaining the Traffic Commission's approval for

repealing the parking restriction of “Commercial Loading Zone” on the north side of Broadway from Arbor Court to 50’ West of Arbor Court, thus restoring unrestricted parking. Ald. Beach expressed his concerns about Item No. 4, Jordan Place and Larson Avenue. There was no discussion on the other items.

7. Committee recommends sustaining the Traffic Commission's recommendation of

"NO ACTION" be taken for additional street lights to be installed at 1708 Post Avenue. Ald. Beach expressed his concerns about Item No. 4, Jordan Place and Larson Avenue. There was no discussion on the other items.

8. Review of the Residential Quality Support Ordinance, Section 17-42, et. seq

A MOTION was made by Ald. Oddo to have this item lay over for two (2) weeks. The motion was SECONDED by Ald. Newburg, and CARRIED by a vote of 4-1. Ald. Thompson-Kelly voted "No."
