Analysis: South Beloit pays $2.77 for every $1 pensioners contribute to South Beloit Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 73.5 percent of the $360,396 the South Beloit Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.77 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, South Beloit contributed $264,810 to the fund, which saw a $51,046 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $95,587, or 26.5 percent, in 2016.
