Cost of college went up for all students at Madison Media Institute-Rockford Career College

Tuition and fees rose 24 percent for 2017-18 at Madison Media Institute-Rockford Career College, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $13,366 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year $2,590 more than the $10,776 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 3 students took out student loans totaling more than $27,380.

Including all undergraduates, 417 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1.79 million. Another 417 took out $4.71 million in federal student loans.
