North Boone Fire Department #3 responded to 66 calls in 2017 - 26.9 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in North Boone #3 included 34 fires - 18 structure fires, five vehicle fires and 11 other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $164,900 in fire loss - or about $4,850 per fire.

The department also received 31 false calls.
