Hononegah Community High School District 207 students suspended 17 times in a single school year

Hononegah Community High School District 207 reported 17 suspensions for 2016-17, according to the latest student discipline report by the Illinois State Board of Education.

According to the report, the district expelled or suspended 17 students during the year. That equates to 0.8 percent of the 2,078 students enrolled.

Of the 12 in-school suspensions, all of whom were high schoolers.

The district reported that most in-school suspensions were given for violence without physical injury. The category includes six incidents. There were six incidents of tobacco. For six incidents, students were suspended for 1-3 days.

The district reported that most out-of-school suspensions were given for violence without physical injury. The category includes four incidents. There were one incidents of tobacco. For three incidents, students were suspended for 3-5 days.
