Village of Machesney Park issued the following announcement on Aug. 30.
Candidate packets for Trustees in Districts 2 - 5 - 6 are available to be picked up at the Office of the Village Clerk, 300 Roosevelt Road, Machesney Park, Illinois The circulation period for the Consolidated Primary Election being held February 26, 2019 will begin August 28, 2018 with filing dates in the Machesney Park Village Clerk’s Office being Monday, November 19 through Monday, November 26, 2018.
Explanation of Consolidated Primary Petition (Nonpartisan – Municipality Other Than Commission Form). In the event that five or more candidates file for the same office, their names will be placed on the Primary Ballot to be conducted on February 26, 2019. If less than five candidates file for the same office, their names will be placed on the Consolidated Election Ballot to be conducted on April 2, 2019.
