City of Loves Park issued the following announcement on Oct. 5.
The annual Parks Chamber "Light Up the Parks” Holiday Parade will take place on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018 at 4:45 PM. The parade route will travel from Schneider Electric parking lot on Clifford Ave, turn North on Elm Ave., turn left onto Roosevelt Road across N. 2nd St., and will finally disassemble in the south side parking lot of the Machesney Towne Center. An awards ceremony will take place during the Village of Machesney Park Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, immediately following the parade, in the Town Center Roundabout.
