Village of Roscoe Village Board met September 4.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

1. Call To Order

President Krienke called the Village Board meeting to order at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.

2. Pledge Of Allegiance

3. Roll Call

Roll Call Vote: Present: Trustees Gustafson, Szula, Baxter, Petty, Swanson and Mallicoat.

4. Public Comment (Limited to 3 minutes per speaker)

None

5. President’s Report-Dave Krienke

5.1 President Krienke thanked and presented Certificates of Appreciation for National Night Out to Billy Westin, Aaron Weber and Kelly Weber.

6. Treasurer's Report

6.1 Cash Report and Bills Treasurer Olson gave the Treasurer’s report.

6.2 Approval of the Bills Treasurer Olson presented the total bills to be submitted for approval. President Krienke entertained a motion to pay the bills. Trustee Szula made the motion, seconded by Trustee Mallicoat. Roll Call Vote: Trustees Gustafson, Szula Mallicoat, Petty, Baxter and Swanson – Yes. Motion Passed 6-0-0

7. Consent Agenda (No Discussion Required)

7.1 Approval of August 21, 2018 Village Board Meeting Minutes. Trustee Petty made a motion to approve; seconded by Trustee Szula. Roll Call Vote: Trustees Baxter, Mallicoat, Petty, Gustafson and Szula – Yes. Trustee Swanson - Abstain. Motion Passed 5-0-1

8.0 Motions And Resolutions (Final Action)

8.1 Approval of Resolution 2018-R46, authorizing agreements with Cargill Inc. for the purchase of salt for the 2018-2019 ice and snow season. Price per ton is $84.79 and $74.52. Trustee Szula made a motion to approve; seconded by Trustee Petty. Roll Call Vote: Trustees Swanson, Petty, Gustafson, Mallicoat, Baxter and Szula – Yes. Motion passed 6-0-0

8.2 Approval of travel expenses for Human Resource Director/Office Manager associated with attendance of Civic Symposium training seminar including registration, and mileage for an amount NTE $500. Administrator Sanders clarified that this is a long one day seminar. The NTE amount is the actual cost of the seminar itself along with mileage. Trustee Petty made the motion to approve; seconded by Trustee Szula. Roll Call Vote: Trustees Szula, Swanson, Baxter, Mallicoat, Petty and Gustafson – Yes. Motion Passed 6-0-0

9 New Business (First Reading Or Suspend Rules)

Trustee Gustafson made a procedural request to not pass the bill folder around with the signature sheet. She would prefer the folder to be available on request and kept in a specified location.

10. Old Business

Rob Baxter asked for a status update on the brewery. Administrator Sanders replied that they are open and have an exceptional product. He also commented that the brewery recently hosted a successful Fundraiser at their location.

President Krienke stated that the Roscoe Lions Parade line up starts at 10:00 just south of Bridge Street. Parade is at 11:00.

12. Executive Session

President Krienke entertained a motion to go into executive session for possible litigation and land acquisition at 6:40pm Trustee Petty made the motion; seconded by Trustee Szula. Roll Call Vote: Trustees Gustafson, Mallicoat, Swanson, Baxter, Szula and Petty – Yes. Motion Passed 6-0-0

Trustee Petty made a motion to go back into open session at 7:10pm; seconded by Trustee Szula. Roll Call vote: Trustees Petty, Szula, Baxter, Swanson, Mallicoat and Gustafson – Yes. Motion Passed 6-0-0

13. Adjournment

There was no further business to be discussed at this Village Board meeting. President Krienke entertained a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:13 p.m Trustee Szula made a motion; seconded by Trustee Swanson. Voice Call Vote: All Ayes present, No Nays heard. Motion Passed 6-0-0
