Mercy Rockford Health System issued the following announcement on Nov. 7.
Join us from 5-6 pm on Monday, November 19, in the Funderburg Auditorium at Javon Bea Hospital-Rockton, located at 2400 N. Rockton Ave., for a lung cancer prevention talk. Participants will also receive a lung cancer screening tool to determine their eligibility for further lung cancer screening.
The evening will be led by Dr. Bharati Roy, Board Certified Pulmonary Medicine specialist with the Mercyhealth Lung Center. She will discuss lung cancer prevention recommendations and the benefits of lung cancer screening.
