Rockford Police Department issued the following announcement on Dec. 1.
Dozens of RPD officers participated in #Brovember to raise awareness for cancers that affect men. We've raised over $1,000 and all of those donations stay local, funding cancer research at the U of I College of Medicine. Our guys always enjoy the one time of year they can sport a beard, while also raising money for a charitable cause! Pictured are just a few of those who participated this year: Sgt. Timothy Speltz, Ofc. Chuck Keen, Lt. Mike Ahrens, and Assistant Deputy Chief Doug Pann.
