SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Dec. 3.
Our holiday decorator, Carol Evans, sure was busy trimming the tree in our SwedishAmerican Foundation this week. A Swedes volunteer for nearly 40 years, she also works her holiday magic on the trees in our two hospital lobbies year after year.
“I’m happy to do it. It’s something I always look forward to,” said Carol, who will also be handing out cookies at our upcoming tree lighting event.
Carol just loves Christmas. She has seven trees in her house, each with a different theme. One of her favorites is the tree with ornaments from all over the world, courtesy of her daughter, who is a travel agent. “She just brought me back one from Africa, so I added that this year,” said Carol.
