SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Dec. 19.
She wrapped it up with a bow! Six-year-old Bella Francis sure knows how to deliver joy. This special little girl remembers spending a number of holidays in the hospital with a chronic autoimmune disease. So she knows firsthand how hard it is to be hospitalized around Christmas if you’re a kid.
That’s why Bella wanted to bring both gifts and smiles to other young patients this year. She chose two of her favorite items – hair bows and headphones – and held a drive for them in our community this past fall. Bella, who has received a lot of care from UW Health, delivered dozens of the bows and headphones to our pediatrics unit this week and entertained some of our staff with her bright personality. “I just wanted to give back,” Bella said. Thank you for bringing us your holiday spirit, Bella!
