SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Jan. 4.
She’s committed to our patients! As a nurse on our medical/surgical floor, Molly brings exceptional dedication to her job.
“My passion and drive to make a difference in my patients’ lives and to see them succeed is what keeps me going,” she said. “Watching patients make a turnaround leaves me feeling like I truly helped make a difference.”
Molly is both a charge nurse and a preceptor, making her a mentor for new nurses. She demonstrates to them the value of being more than a medical provider to her patients. “We’re the ones who work the closest with our patients and are the first line of support,” she said. “Not only are we the first to know if something is going wrong, but we’re also the first to respond.” And that often means simply showing compassion or being a listening ear.
“I love being there for my patients, even if that means just keeping them company, being a distraction or simply listening to them,” Molly said. “Nursing comes with a lot of challenges, but in the end it’s very rewarding.”
Thanks for your commitment to caring, Molly. You’re one more reason our patients know they can #TrustTheBest.
