Report: Rockton spent $9,074 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Rockton School District 140 is up 17.4 percent from five years ago, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Winnebago County school district spent $7,726 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,074 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1504 to 1589.

Rockton's spending in 2017-18 was 32 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
