Winnebago County board chairman candidate Scott Christiansen returns $5,104.68 contribution from Giovanni's

The campaign committee of Winnebago County board chairman candidate Scott Christiansen, Christiansen for Chairman, returned a $5,104.68 contribution from Giovanni's on April 15, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Giovanni's has not made any other contributions to Scott Christiansen in the past 12 months.
