City of Loves Park issued the following announcement on April 20.
NOTICE: Traffic Changes in Effect During Road Improvement Project at Rock Cut State Park
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) is alerting site visitors of expected traffic changes during road improvement projects this spring, summer and fall at Rock Cut State Park in Winnebago Co. There will be 3 phases.
Phase 1 – through May 20, 2019. This phase includes the closure of Hart Road, the Park Maintenance Road and the Main Park Road from the Boat Ramp Parking Lot eastward to the Park Maintenance Road. Visitors seeking access to the concession building (Lone Rock Café) or boat ramp parking lot must enter from the West Loop Road over the bridge. There will be no access to Hart Road.
Phase 2 and 3 will be posted closer to the dates applicable.
