Mercy Rockford Health System issued the following announcement on May 23.
Mercyhealth is pleased to announce Beth Pearson has been named Associate Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) of Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center-Janesville, Javon Bea Hospital-Rockton and Javon Bea Hospital-Riverside.
Beth has been a registered nurse for 23 years, with a clinical background in orthopedics. In nurse leadership roles, Beth has functioned in various settings in management, quality and practice, and Magnet nursing functions.
In this new role, Beth will be responsible for the development of a centralized approach for disease-specific certification programs, nursing education, nurse residencies, and student nurse internship programs, including partnerships with schools of nursing at the Janesville and Rockford campuses. Additionally, Beth will be responsible for alignment of nursing quality activities.
Beth started her career at Mercyhealth in 2016, after spending 19 years practicing in the Rockford region. Beth has worked to promote clinical excellence related to clinical practice and nursing quality and has advocated and supported clinical nurse participation. Beth is both a registered nurse and orthopedic nurse certified. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing and is Nurse Executive Advanced-Board Certified.
