The following actions were taken on May 20 in the House on Senate bill SB54 ("liquor-home delivery"): "House Committee Amendment No. 3 Rules Refers to Executive Committee", "House Committee Amendment No. 3 Referred to Rules Committee", "House Committee Amendment No. 3 Filed with Clerk by Rep. Sara Feigenholtz", "Final Action Deadline Extended-9(b) May" and "Assigned to Executive Committee".

When a bill is introduced to the House, the clerk reads the bill title and it is automatically referred to the Rules Committee. If the Rules Committee thinks that the bill merits further consideration, it is assigned to another committee. In this case, the bill was assigned to the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee is a standing committee of the Illinois House of Representatives.

The bill, as it was introduced in the Senate by Sen. Don Harmon (D-39) on Jan. 16, "amends the Liquor Control Act of 1934" and "creates a third-party facilitator license," according to the General Assembly website.
