2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Boone County?

There were 42 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live in Boone County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Rockford Sun.

The data shows that 35 men and seven women were released in Boone County. The median age of the parolees was 36. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man convicted of a crime against a person in 2018, and the oldest was a 56-year-old man convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2015.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Sean Fitzpatrick. He was convicted of homicide in 1996 when he was 20 years old. He is now 43.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in 2018 in each Boone County municipality.
