Q1 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Boone County?

There were 11 offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Boone County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Rockford Sun.

The data shows that nine men and two women were released in Boone County. The median age of the parolees was 43. The youngest parolee was a 23-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2017, and the oldest was a 62-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Ryan H. Kottke. He was convicted of a property crime in 2015 when he was 23 years old. He is now 27.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Boone County municipality.
