SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on June 20.
The SwedishAmerican Foundation raised more than $106,000 at the 34th annual Ryan Jury Memorial Golf Outing on June 19 at Aldeen Golf Club.
More than 220 golfers registered for the event, which has raised more than 1.4 million dollars since its inception. The outing is held each year by the Jury family in memory of their son, Ryan, who died of cancer at the age of 23 months in 1986.
“For 34 years, the Jury family has continued Ryan’s legacy by partnering with SwedishAmerican to care for our community’s children,” said SwedishAmerican Foundation Director Laura Wilkinson. “Thanks to all our sponsors and participants, this year’s event is one of our most successful to date.”
All funds raised from the golf outing benefit the kids of SwedishAmerican, particularly for the expansion of SwedishAmerican’s new four-story Women’s and Children’s Tower which will include the new level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). It is scheduled to open in 2021.
