2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 61080?

There were two offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 61080, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Rockford Sun.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in the South Beloit zip code were men. The younger parolee was a 19-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2016, and the other was a 71-year-old man convicted of a crime against one or more children in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Chase Higgins. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2016, when he was 19 years old. He is now 22.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
