Mercy Rockford Health System issued the following announcement on Aug. 21.
Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Dr. Alexandra Rigo to the Emergency Medicine staff of Javon Bea Hospital–Riverside and Rockton, Rockford.
Dr. Rigo’s special interest is treating her patients comprehensively, including their mental health and physical well-being. Her focus is on clear communication. “I take the time to explain the health care process to my patients and update them frequently. I make sure they understand what we evaluated during their visit and answer any questions they have. I also think it is important to involve family and loved ones in the process.”
After earning her medical degree at the The Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, North Chicago, IL, Dr. Rigo served her residency at the Cook County Emergency Medicine Residency Program, Chicago.
