Mercy Rockford Health System issued the following announcement on Aug. 23.
Mercyhealth is pleased to welcome Dr. Maria Gomez to the Emergency Medicine staff of Javon Bea Hospital–Riverside and Rockton, Rockford.
Dr. Gomez has a special interest in medical education. Her focus is her patients’ comfort and welfare. “My patients’ well-being is my first priority. That’s why I treat my patients as if they are my own family.”
After earning her medical degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Gomez served her residency and completed a fellowship in Tactical Medicine at Cook County Health & Hospitals System, Chicago.
