City of Belvidere Fire and Police Commission met Aug. 29.

Here is the agenda provided by the commission:

APPROVING OF THE MINUTES:

COMMUNICATIONS:

A. Bills Payable.

B. Police Chief' s Report.

C. Fire Chief' s Report.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None.

NEW BUSINESS:

A) Fire —Approve the use of COPS and FIRE Personnel Testing Service for the 2020 fire department entry level testing.

B) Fire — Utilize the Rule of Five state statute ( 65 ILCS 5/ 10- 2. 1- 6. 3) and pass on Candidates # 3, # 4 and # 5.

C) Fire - Pass on Candidate # 3.

D) Fire - Pass on Candidate # 4.

E) Fire - Pass on Candidate # 5.

F) Fire — Review background check and polygraph test results for Candidate #7.

G) Fire — Upon passing of background check and polygraph test conduct an oral interview with Candidate #7.

H) Fire — Upon passing of oral interview with Candidate # 7, offer a condition of employment contingent on successful passing of medical and psychological examinations.

1) Police — Discuss and act on testing for entry level candidates.

J) Police — Review psychological and medical results for entry level candidate and vote on passing of tests.

K) Police - Review psychological results for promotional candidates and vote on passing of tests.

L) Police — Interview promotional candidates and vote on whether candidates passed interview.

M) Police — Select new sergeant.

OTHER BUSINESS:

A) Police Department Disciplinary Matter ( the Commission may go into executive session pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/ 2 ( c) ( 1) to discuss the discipline or termination of a specific employee).
