Mercy Rockford Health System issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.
Psychiatric disorders represent up to 40 percent of disorders seen in primary care. Many of those go undiagnosed, under diagnosed or under treated.
Mercyhealth, in collaboration with Rosecrance Health Network and the Rockford Regional Health Council, will host experts who will give presentations on a wide range of psychiatric disorders at the 22nd Annual Clinical Aspects of Medical Psychiatry on Thursday, October 17, from 8am – 5pm, at Forest Hills Country Club, 5135 Forest Hills Road, Rockford.
This one day conference is designed for physicians and other behavioral health professionals who are interested in cutting edge treatments and medications for psychiatric disorders. Nurses, social workers and other clinical staff are also invited to attend. This educational activity will also supply these professionals with strategies for monitoring and treating psychiatric patients.
