OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center issued the following announcement on Dec. 27.
This week’s #VolunteerSpotlight is John Marzorati, who works the main reception desk on Friday mornings and fills in at the surgical waiting room. “I’ve been volunteering for about two years now, but I have been attending Sunday mass at the OSF chapel for more than 20 years," he said. "So, when I retired, OSF was my first choice for volunteering."
John spent 38 years working for a local manufacturing company in various leadership roles. He recently retired as an operations manager. In his free time, he loves working outside and spending time with family and friends.
And he loves giving back to his community. “I was raised in a family where volunteering was a common practice, and felt that giving back to my community was the right thing to do,” he said. “I get great satisfaction helping patients when they enter the hospital and truly enjoy talking to them as I escort them to the various areas within the hospital. I pride myself in making their initial experience a pleasurable one.”
If you would like to give back like John and our many volunteers, please contact Kim Anderson at 815-395-5064 or http://osf.care/IMko50xHxAd
