Village of Rockton Administration Committee met Dec. 2.
Here is the minutes provided by the committee:
Chairman Winters called the regular meeting of the Administration Committee to order at 5:30 pm. Members present: Mayor Adams, John Peterson and Dave Winters
Also present: Chief Dickson, Tricia Diduch and Scott Fridly (5:40 pm)
Absent: Arianne Honkamp
Motion by Mr. Peterson, second by Mr. Winters to waive the reading of and approve the minutes of November 18, 2019. All ayes. Motion approved 2-0.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
THE MAYOR – DALE ADAMS
None.
PUBLIC SAFETY & LEGAL – DAVE WINTERS, CHAIRMAN
None.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT & BUDGET – JOHN PETERSON
Motion by Mr. Peterson to approve paying the Stateline Chamber invoice in the amount of $150, second by Mr. Winters. Roll call. All ayes. Motion approved 2-0.
Mr. Peterson stated that the downtown looks nice for the Rockton Christmas Walk. Ms. Diduch advised the Committee that the “Hot Cocoa Crawl” has sold out and that this event will produce a $2,200 profit. Mr. Winters stated that someone contacted a Village trustee and inquired why Ms. Diduch was painting the windows of the downtown businesses. Ms. Diduch stated that if the Village paid a professional to do this it would cost several hundred dollars. Ms. Diduch explained that she was trying to save the Village some money, but if any of the high school students or someone else is interested in doing this Ms. Dicuch would welcome any help. Mr. Peterson commented that this is the biggest event in Rockton and Ms. Diduch was just making sure that the Village and downtown area look nice and he was okay with that.

Ms. Diduch stated that she has been spending a lot of time preparing for the Rockton Christmas Walk.
