Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 61080?

There were two offenders released on parole during the second quarter that live near Illinois zip code 61080, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Rockford Sun.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in South Beloit zip code were men. The younger parolee was a 19-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2013, and the other was a 44-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2016.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Olajuwon Pope. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2013, when he was 19 years old. He is now 26.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
