Analysis: South Beloit pays $19.66 for every $1 pensioners contribute to South Beloit Firefighter's Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 95.2 percent of the $452,112 the South Beloit Firefighter's Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $19.66 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, South Beloit contributed $430,229 to the fund, which saw a $336,578 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $21,882, or 4.8 percent, in 2018. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
