Analysis: Cherry Valley pays $15.45 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Cherry Valley Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 93.6 percent of the $1,338,255 the Cherry Valley Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $15.45 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Rockford Sun analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Cherry Valley contributed $1,252,160 to the fund, which saw a $91,828 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $81,026, or 6.1 percent, in 2018. Another $5,069 came from other unspecified sources.
