SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Aug. 6.
SwedishAmerican is pleased to welcome new APRN Macy Klumpp to the new FCA Family Health and Wellness Center-Belvidere (1625 S. State Street, Belvidere IL).
Originally from Sycamore, Ill., Macy received her medical degree from Northern Illinois University. She brings four years of experience in family medicine with her to SwedishAmerican and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Her medical interests include Allergies, Child/Adolescent Health, Chronic Disease Management, Disease Prevention, Fitness/Exercise, Holistic Medicine, Mental Health/Psychological Care, Mother/Baby Care, Patient Education, Pediatric Care, Preventive Medicine, Spiritual Health and Women and Children.
“My philosophy of care is to inform and educate my patients on disease prevention,” Macy said. “I strive to accomplish this by guiding them on health maintenance needed throughout their entire life span.”
Macy is one of three providers at the new FCA Family Health and Wellness Center-Belvidere. The wellness center opened last month and provides primary care services for all FCA employees and their families enrolled in the company’s health care plan.
