49 percent of applicants to Rockford University were admitted for fall 2018

At Rockford University, 74 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 55 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Rockford enrolled 1,203 students in fall 2018, including 994 in undergraduate and 209 in graduate programs, data shows. 15.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

79 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 17 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (58 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (17 percent).

The school admitted 49 percent of the 2,682 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 12 percent enrolled.
