SwedishAmerican Hospital issued the following announcement on Sept. 2.
SwedishAmerican is pleased to welcome new family physician Dr. Mali Him to the Five Points Clinic (2404 Charles Street, Rockford IL).
Dr. Him received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Central Michigan University. A native of Hanover Park, Illinois, Dr. Him is a recipient of the Louis E. Zeile Scholarship Award in recognition of excellence in physician resident education and training. Her medical interests include Back Pain, Bariatrics/Obesity, Child/Adolescent Health, Chronic Disease Management, Disease Prevention, Diabetes Management, Fitness/Exercise, Gynecology, Health and Wellness, Holistic Medicine, Nutrition, Patient Education, Weight Loss and Women’s Health.
"The medical field is the one profession that I can empower my patients to make important decisions about their health,” Dr. Him said. “My philosophy of care is one patient at a time, and working together with a patient one day at a time to reach that ultimate goal.”
