Village of Rockton Administration Committee met April 20.

Chairman Winters called the regular meeting of the Administration Committee to order at 5:30 pm. Members present: Mayor Adams, Arianne Honkamp, John Peterson and Dave Winters Also present: Chief Dickson, Tricia Diduch (Cisco Webex) and Scott Fridly
Motion by Mr. Peterson, second by Mrs. Honkamp to waive the reading of and approve the minutes of April 6, 2020. All ayes. Motion approved 3-0.
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
THE MAYOR – DALE ADAMS
None.
PUBLIC SAFETY & LEGAL – DAVE WINTERS, CHAIRMAN
Mr. Winters advised that everyone is still working on the budget for the next fiscal year. Mr. Winters also inquired if it was imperative at this time to be working on the football field at the athletic fields. Mr. Fridly stated that work being presented in the purchase requisition for Nason’s Landscaping wasn’t the option that the Public Works Committee discussed.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT & BUDGET – JOHN PETERSON
Mr. Peterson stated that he didn’t have anything further in reference to the downtown event they want to have when the stay at home order is lifted. Mr. Peterson added that Jumping Trout didn’t feel comfortable coming to Village Hall to do a presentation for updating the Village website. Mr. Peterson stated that he will try to work on a presentation via Zoom.
Mr. Peterson asked Mr. Fridly about the Blackhawk Boulevard parking lot options. Mr. Fridly advised that Mr. Bunge can be contacted to answer questions that the Village Board may have.
ADMINISTRATION – ARIANNE HONKAMP
None.
THE CHIEF– STEVE DICKSON
None.
PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATOR – TRICIA DIDUCH
Ms. Diduch advised the Committee that she is still waiting to hear from DCO in reference to the Village being able to add the engineering expenses in the grant for the Blackhawk Boulevard parking lot project.
Ms. Diduch stated that the Village finally received the audit and that she has scheduled the TIF meetings to be held on Thursday, May 7th starting at 10:30 am.
Ms. Diduch added that she has an opening on the Planning Commission if anyone has suggestions. Ms. Diduch said that Mr. Axon moved to South Beloit.
Ms. Diduch informed the Committee that a Village of Rockton resident (who wished to remain anonymous) donated their stimulus check to various businesses whom they thought could use the extra help within the Village. Ms. Diduch stated that she is distributing the donations to the business owners that were chosen by the anonymous donor.
EXECUTIVE SESSION None.
ANY OTHER BUSINESS ALLOWED BY LAW
Mayor Adams inquired about the status of the Rockton River Market (RRM). Ms. Diduch stated that she is waiting to see what happens after April 30th with the stay at home order and that nothing has been canceled as of yet. Mr. Winters added that there is a lot of unknowns right now in reference to the Covid-19 pandemic.
