TREASURER’S REPORT:

PRESIDENT’S REPORT: JIM E. CLAEYSSEN.

1. Motion that the Village Board approve Resolution 2020-16; “A Resolution of the Village of Cherry Valley, Illinois Authorizing and Approving A Memorandum of Understanding with The Illinois Fraternal Order of Police”.

2. Motion that the Village Board authorize $250.00 for this year’s Veteran’s Day Remembrance Event from line item 5085A. This event will be held on Saturday November 7, 2020.

3. Village Board discussion regarding the possible closing of the Cherry Valley Historical Society’s Museum at 101 E. State Street.

ORDINANCE REPORT BY TRUSTEE: NANCY BELT.

1. Motion that the Village Board consider this the second and final reading of “An Ordinance Amending the Code of Ordinances for The Village of Cherry Valley, Illinois, Chapter 6 – Advertising”.

2. Motion that the Village Board pass and approve Ordinance 2020-28; “An Ordinance Amending the Code of Ordinances for The Village of Cherry Valley, Illinois, Chapter 6 – Advertising”.

3. Motion that the Village Board consider this the second and final reading of “An Ordinance Amending the Code of Ordinances for the Village of Cherry Valley, Illinois, Chapter 22 – Building and Building Regulations, Article IV Self-Contained Portable Toilets”.

4. Motion that the Village Board pass and approve Ordinance 2020-29; “An Ordinance Amending the Code of Ordinances for the Village of Cherry Valley, Illinois, Chapter 22 – Building and Building Regulations, Article IV Self-Contained Portable Toilets”.

FINANCE REPORT BY TRUSTEE: JEFF O’HARA.

1. Motion that the Village Board approve the bills reviewed and approved by the Budget Director on October 20, 2020 and reviewed and approved by the village trustees present at the October 20, 2020 Village Board Meeting at a total cost of $159,922.93.

2. Motion that the Village Board approve the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association (IMLRMA) Minimum/Maximum Contribution for Liability Insurance of $163,427.76 for 2021 and to authorize President Jim E. Claeyssen and Treasurer Maureen Gumowski to sign the Agreement. This will be from line item 5110 Administration. (There was not an increase in the annual renewal contribution again this year).

PUBLIC SAFETY REPORT BY TRUSTEE: JEFF FUSTIN. No Report.

PUBLIC WORKS REPORT BY TRUSTEE: JIM ALSBURY. No Report.

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT REPORT BY TRUSTEE: DAVID SCHROEDER. No Report.

PERSONNEL REPORT BY TRUSTEE: SALLY HOLLEMBEAK.

1. Motion that the Village Board approve the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Health Care Plans Medical HSA RPEQ1Z0720 and PPO RPPC2423 for the upcoming enrollment period of 2020-2021 for the Village of Cherry Valley.

2. Motion that the Village Board approve the Group Dental Insurance Plan with Delta Dental – Option 1, for the upcoming enrollment period of 2020-2021 for the Village of Cherry Valley.

3. Motion that the Village Board approve a voluntary employee funded optional vision program, Delta Vision Care – Option 1, for the upcoming enrollment period of 2020-2021 for the Village of Cherry Valley.

4. Motion that the Village Board approve the hiring of a new Patrol Officer (to fill a vacancy within the Police Department), a Lateral Hire Step 1 position, at a starting salary of $56,867.00 pending approval of all pre-employment requirements.

5. Motion that the Village Board approve hiring Mr. Larry Gray as a Seasonal Snow Plow Driver for the Village of Cherry Valley at an hourly rate of $20 per hour for the 2020-2021 Winter Season.

EXECUTIVE SESSION:
