City of Carlyle Finance Committee and City Council Met October 12

City of Carlyle Finance Committee and City Council met Oct. 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee and and the council:

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Don Perez at 6:45 p.m. at Case Halstead Library located at 550 Sixth Street. Committee members present included Don Perez, John Hodapp, and Kent Newkirk. Others present included Shannon Petrea, Jeremy Weh, Michael Jansen, Rita Jurgensmeyer, Joe Behrman, Jason Herzing, Mayor Judy Smith, Andy Brackett, and Martha Reinkensmeyer.

After reviewing the minutes from the September 28, 2020 meeting, John Hodapp made a motion to approve the minutes. Kent Newkirk seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

The first item on the agenda was the approval of claims. After reviewing the claims, John Hodapp made a motion to approve the claims. Kent Newkirk seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

The second item on the agenda was William Road/Governor’s Run intersection. Andy stated that a low bid was received from KRB from Trenton. The bid is considerably closer to the engineering estimate. The project can be paid for using TIF Funds. Kent Newkirk made a motion to send the bid from KRB to Council. John Hodapp seconded the motion. After a voice vote, all were found in favor.

There was no old business.

There was no new business.

There were no any other comments.

There were no public comments.

With no further business to discuss, Kent Newkirk made a motion to adjourn. John Hodapp seconded the motion. Finding all in favor, the meeting was adjourned at 6:47 p.m.
