Swedish American Hospital issued the following announcement on Nov. 2.
SwedishAmerican is pleased to welcome Dr. Liping Zhong to the Immediate Care Clinic (3775 N. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL).
Dr. Zhong received her medical degree from Xiangya Medical School and completed her residency at Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital. Originally from China, Dr. Zhong has been practicing for 18 years and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Her special medical interests include Bariatrics/Obesity, Cardiac Health, Chronic Disease Management, Dermatology/Skin Disorders, Disease Prevention, Diabetes Management, Fitness/Exercise, Foot Care, Gastrointestinal Disorders, Health and Wellness, Mental Health/Psychological Care, Nutrition, Patient Education, Preventive Medicine and Weight Loss.
"I pursued a career in the medical field because it fits my personality,” Dr. Zhong said. “My philosophy of care is to focus on preventive care and patient education.”
